워크숍이 끝날 때까지 참가자들은,

Peter van Agtmael소개

Peter van Agtmael은 1981년 워싱턴 DC에서 태어났습니다. 그는 2003년 예일 학교에서 역사학 학사 학위를 취득했습니다.
2006년부터 그의 작업은 주로 미국과 9/11 전쟁 후에 집중되었습니다.

그는 구겐하임 펠로우십, W. 유진 스미스 그랜트, ICP 인피니티 어워드, 아론 시스킨드 그랜트, 루믹스 프리렌즈 어워드, 퓰리처 센터 그랜트, 매그넘 재단 펠로우십 및 월드 프레스 포토에서 여러 상을 수상했습니다.

9/11 테러 이후 전쟁 중인 미국을 다룬 그의 첫 번째 책 'Disco Night Sept 11'은 2014년 Aperture/Paris Photo Book Award 최종 후보에 올랐고 The New York Times Magazine, Time, Mother Jones 및 Vogue에서 '올해의 책'으로 선정되었습니다.

전쟁의 그늘에 가려진 미국에 관한 그의 두 번째 책 "Buzzing at the Sill"은 2017년 Rencontres D'Arles Book Award와 Kassel Book Award 최종 후보에 올랐으며 Time, The Guardian, Buzzfeed, Mother Jones 및 Internazionale에서 "올해의 책"으로 선정되었습니다.

전쟁 중인 미국과 전쟁 자체 사이의 거대한 불협화음을 다룬 그의 세 번째 책 "Sorry For The War”는 2020년에 출간되었습니다.
Peter는 아랍 다큐멘터리 사진 프로그램의 멘토이자 Red Hook Editions의 창립자이며, Magnum Photos의 회원입니다.

This workshop is open for 12 participants and suitable for photographers at any stage of their career.

This workshop will be held in English. A South-Korean translator will be present throughout.

BIO

Peter van Agtmael was born in Washington DC in 1981. He graduated from Yale University with a BA in History in 2003.
Since 2006, his work has largely concentrated on the United States and the post-9/11 wars.

He has received a Guggenheim Fellowship, the W. Eugene Smith Grant, an ICP Infinity Award, the Aaron Siskind Grant, the Lumix Freelens Award, a Pulitzer Center Grant, a Magnum Foundation Fellowship as well as multiple awards from World Press Photo.

His first book, 'Disco Night Sept 11,' on the USA at war in the post-9/11 era was shortlisted for the 2014 Aperture/Paris Photo Book Award and named a ‘Book of the Year’ by The New York Times Magazine, Time, Mother Jones, and Vogue.

His second book, ”Buzzing at the Sill," about the USA in the shadow of the wars, was shortlisted for the 2017 Rencontres D’Arles Book Award and Kassel Book Award and was named a “Book of the Year” by Time, The Guardian, Buzzfeed, Mother Jones, and Internazionale.

His third book, “Sorry for the War,” about the vast dissonance between the United States at war and the wars themselves is forthcoming in 2020. Peter is a mentor in the Arab Documentary Photography Program, a founder of Red Hook Editions, and a member of Magnum Photos.
